Help to transform our extraordinary hospital into something even better.

On Saturday 16 July it was Super Saturday at Sheffield Children’s!
Our 0-19 Team were out at Meadowhall and Firth Park, giving lots of families advice about starting school, keeping teeth healthy, speech and language development, toilet training, managing long days and more.
Colleagues ran extra clinics at the hospital for nearly 200 patients to help reduce waiting lists, including in Allergy, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, ENT and Neurodisability.
Our Phlebotomists, Play Team and Learning Disability Team also held a special sensory blood test clinic. Eight-year-old Sam had a blood test at the clinic which his mum said was a “transformational experience.” She added: “Sam finds blood tests difficult, but the sensory equipment, extra time, preparation and calm demeanour of staff really helped.” Well done, Sam!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us and all colleagues who took part in Super Saturday!
Super Saturday is all about making sure children and young people get the care they need as quickly as possible.
