Welcome to our Strategy and Partnerships Director, Rebecca Joyce, who began her new role at Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust this week!
Rebecca initially joined the Trust as Development Director to help create our five-year Clinical Strategy towards the end of 2022. She will take a lead role on our strategy and partnerships work across a local, regional, and national level.
Rebecca was Chief Operating Officer at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH) from 2019 to 2022 and Accountable Care Partnership Director in Sheffield from 2017 to 2019, working across the NHS, Council and Voluntary Sector to develop a more integrated, prevention orientated care system.
With over 20 years’ experience within the Health Service, Rebecca’s career began in 2000 when she joined the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme, working in acute and primary care roles across North West London, alongside working for a Not-For-Profit Health Network in Tanzania on the coordination of HIV and AIDs services.
Following that, she worked within senior hospital operational roles at Imperial London, Ealing Hospital and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. Rebecca then transitioned into more transformational and strategic roles, moving into the role of Service Improvement Director for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals in 2014.
Rebecca said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to the Strategy and Partnerships Director. I am particularly excited to have the opportunity to bring my experience and skills to help deliver the clinical strategy, working with children, young people, communities, colleagues, and partners. Sheffield Children’s is a special organisation, and I am so happy to be part of its future.”
We’re delighted to welcome Rebecca into her new role at Sheffield Children’s.
