Clinical Chemistry is the area of pathology concerned with analysing samples of body fluid and we use simple chemical tests which are are closely monitored and quality controlled.

We can perform tests on any kind of body fluid, but mostly on urine, serum or plasma.

We perform newborn screening tests on all babies born in South Yorkshire and East Midlands. We also accept samples from across the UK and internationally to test newborn babies for a range of diseases.
