Poppy joined the ENT team in 2022 as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, prior to this she spent 10 years working as a Staff Nurse on Ward 1 (at SCH) after gaining her degree in Child Nursing (BA hons) at Sheffield Hallam university in 2012.
Poppy is heavily involved with children who have tracheostomy tubes (which aid breathing). She provides training and education to families and staff to ensure children are safely cared for in their homes, the community, and hospital. Poppy also promotes continuing care for these children by organising a monthly tracheostomy clinic, a ‘Transition to Adult Care’ clinic, as well as being a point of contact for children, parents, and care staff.
Poppy also provides a point of contact for a range of ENT conditions if you or your child require any non-urgent advice or guidance and can be contacted via the Sheffield Children’s Hospital switchboard.
In her spare time Poppy loves nothing more than spending time with her family and taking trips to the Yorkshire coast.
