Jacqueline is the Trust ‘Freedom to Speak Up Guardian’, who provides a confidential service to all staff who wish to speak up or raise a concern around issues of patient safety and quality of care.
The Freedom to Speak Up Guardian provides a link between staff, managers/leads and relevant departments such as Human Resources, building trust and maintaining contact until the issue has been fully addressed. The Guardian works alongside Board and senior staff members to help the organisation listen to and learn from the concerns that staff have raised.
Jacqueline started in the role in 2017 and is also a Governor for the Trust, serving as a Public Governor from 2012 to 2017, and a Staff Governor in 2019.
