Hello, I’m Jacqueline Griffin and I was elected as Governor for the Sheffield North East area in 2012 and re-elected in 2015. I also became Lead Governor for the Trust in the summer of 2015.
I would be particularly interested to hear from staff, parents, carers and patients who have any disability, impairment or additional need, about any aspect of hospital life. Making sure your voice is heard is of paramount importance to me, particularly as the Hospital now faces new challenges to provide even more facilities and work differently with our partners, patients and families.
My working life has focused around children with disabilities/SEN, managing projects across the region and am currently working for two national charities. I’m now a mum as well and our daughter has been a patient at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. I have also been a carer. I hope I can bring some of this experience and my skills to the role of Governor.
Do get in touch – I’m happy to hear from you for just a chat or with an idea, suggestion or comment.
