Hannah Commander is a Urology Nurse. This specialist role involves performing tests including non invasive bladder scans as well as running continence clinics helping to support children on their continence journey.
Hannah’s role also involves reviewing inpatients on the wards and providing specialist support to patients, their families and ward staff.
Another aspect of her role is teaching hospital staff, inpatients/outpatients and their families all aspects of urology care including indwelling bladder drainage devices and intermittent catheterisation. Her teaching role extends to the community, attending nursery and school settings to enable staff to support children with additional continence needs.
Hannah is committed to delivering excellent patient care that is current and evidence based. Through membership to the European Society for Paediatric Urology, study days and additional reading she continually keeps up to date with the latest practice related to bladder problems and the associated treatments for children.
