George joined the Trust in May 2015 as Communications Officer.
His role involves developing internal and external communications campaigns and creating online and offline content. This includes working with photo and video, co-ordinating email communications to staff, engaging with the public via the Trust’s social media accounts and developing a range of content to raise awareness of the pioneering work that goes on at Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.
George graduated from the University of York in 2008 and after initially gaining experience working for an educational charity and managing the marketing for an engineering firm, has developed his role as a creative communications professional through over six years working in marketing, advertising and communications.
Before joining the Trust, George was the Senior Digital Account Manager at an agency which specialised in providing marketing and communications services to the public sector.
George specialises in strategy, creative concepts and communications training. He has consulted on or managed a number of campaigns, strategies and digital resources for a range of stakeholders including local and central government, healthcare and public health.
Outside of work George has a keen interest in theatre, film and poetry.
