Dr Gillian Gatenby

Gillian has over 20 years’experience of NHS research leadership across three NHS Trusts, having started her career as a research scientist. In 2004 Gillian joined the newly created research office at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and in 2011 moved to The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to take on the role of Research Manager. In 2012 Gillian joined Sheffield Children’s and has overseen the growth of research and innovation at the Trust in her capacity as Associate Director for Research & Innovation. She holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford Department of Biochemistry.
