I’m a Clinical Nurse Specialist working with the Paediatric Bone Disease Service at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. I’ve been nursing since 2005 and have worked part-time with the Paediatric Bone Disease Service since 2016.
Prior to this I worked on the Paediatric Critical Care Unit. I love working as part of a small team of people who are all passionate about improving the lives of the children and families who are under our service. I have a particular interest in working with young people and adolescents and enjoy running nurse-lead adolescent clinics to help prepare patients for transition to adult services. As part of the National Highly Specialised Osteogenesis Imperfecta Service I liaise with local services and enjoy participating in the outreach clinics at Leeds General Infirmary.
In my spare time I like to stay active with running and walking in the Peak District with my husband and three boys. We also enjoy trips away in our campervan.
