I am Tracy and I was elected as a public governor for Sheffield in September 2019.
I am an ex-primary school teacher and a mum of one. For the past 16 years I have spent much of my time at Sheffield Children’s with my daughter who has Cystic Fibrosis. This experience has allowed me to forge relationships with doctors, nurses and other hospital staff and has also helped me gain a valuable insight into the role of parents and carers at what can be very stressful and vulnerable times.
I have a particular interest in listening to any worries or concerns that parents or care givers are experiencing/have experienced during a child’s stay in hospital and will do my best to support them in a fair and non-judgemental way.
