I became a Governor after my son had to be a patient of the Children’s Hospital, I was so grateful to the hospital for the excellent standard of care that I wanted to give something back and the governor opportunity arose for me to do that.
I’m a mum of two who works in child protection in the Sheffield area so it’s useful to be able to link those two roles into my involvement with the hospital.
As a public governor for Rotherham, it’s great to be able to contribute to the hospital from the wider geographical area and to ensure that the needs of all South Yorkshire’s children are considered rather than just Sheffield’s children. If you are a Rotherham resident with a view that you want feeding back to the management of the hospital, please do drop me an email with any queries you have.
