Hi, I’m Mandy Stockley and I was elected as Governor in the Sheffield North West Constituency in October 2014.
I am an experienced MBACP Senior Accredited counsellor working in the NHS in a GP Practice and privately. My specialist interests are eating disorders, working primarily with young people, but also with adults, dealing with anxiety, stress and depression. Additionally, I have organised projects for those with low self-esteem and low confidence. Previously, I had a successful career working as a State Registered Nurse and Midwife for many years in both hospitals and GP Practices. I also enjoy my work as a School Governor at a local school.
As a mother of three, I have always felt safe that there is a centre of excellence for the care and wellbeing of children and young people in Sheffield. My previous and current experiences have all taught me to be an effective communicator and good listener. In my role as Governor, I thrive from using my expertise to offer support and advice to the Children’s Hospital. Since starting my role, I have witnessed the continuing changes within the NHS and I feel proud to be part of such a passionate and dedicated trust.
If you’d like to get in touch I can be contacted by email.
