Description of speciality:

I assess and treat children and young people aged 5 to 11 years old with complex presentations who may have a variety of mental health conditions including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Psychosis and Eating Disorders.

These children and young people are referred to Amber Lodge from community CAMHS teams from Yorkshire and The Humber.

Up until September 2013 I assessed and treated children and young people up to the age of 16 years old with a variety of mental health conditions at Beighton Community CAMHS and for two years I was joint Team Leader of Beighton Community CAMHS.

I am interested in the training of junior doctors in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and am a clinical supervisor and educational supervisor for junior doctors on placement in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

I am the undergraduate link in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry for medical students at Sheffield University.

Until September 2014 I was the Medical/Dental staff governor for Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust for a period of 3 years.
