I started my career at Sheffield Children’s in 1991, working as a Support Worker in the Emergency Department (ED).
I qualified in 1996 with a diploma in Children’s Nursing Studies at The University of Sheffield and returned to work in ED. During this time, I undertook further studies and gained my B Med Sci degree in Children’s Nursing.
In 2011, I was seconded to work the Paediatric Bone Disease Service, where I successfully attained a permanent position.
I enjoy all aspects that encompass my role in the Paediatric Bone Disease Service, but particularly enjoy, supporting young people with their transition to adult services.
I also have a special interest in the support our service offers to children and their family with achondroplasia.
