Profile

Carrie qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2008 from Salford University, joining Sheffield Children’s in 2011. Carrie has a dual role in the Trust, working as the Allied Health Professional Preceptorship Lead and as an Advanced Physiotherapist. In her Preceptorship role Carrie works with her organisation to support newly qualified practitioners, staff who are new to the trust, staff who are returning to practice and staff who have been internationally recruited. In her clinical role Carrie specialises in the care of children and young people with bone conditions. She has a special interest in early years and child development. Carrie is passionate about the NHS and is committed to delivering the trusts vision of providing outstanding care. Her main goals are to work alongside children, young adults, and their families to break down the barriers that disability can create, facilitate participation at home, in school and within the community. Ultimately improving health outcomes and quality of life for children and young adults.

Alongside her clinical work Carrie received her MSc in Clinical Research from the University of Sheffield in 2015 and is actively involved in research.
