stairs to Ward M3

Ward 6 (formerly M3) is where we care for children and teenagers with cancer and blood disorders.

We are a 14-bedded unit with six isolation cubicles, used mainly for children who need to be isolated to prevent infections, for example bone marrow transplant patients.

There are also four day case beds so some children can receive day case treatment on the ward.

We also have a play room for children with toys and our own play specialists to keep patients entertained.

There is a parents’ room which has tea and coffee making facilities.

Do It For You Day

Do It For You Day takes place every autumn at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

The day is for children and young people aged 0-19 who are currently being treated or who have previously been treated for cancer at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

For further details and a family ticket please email doitforyou@nhs.net.
