Sheffield United bring Christmas cheer to the wards

15 December 2016

Sheffield United helped bring some Christmas cheer to our wards this week with a visit – and by bringing lots of gifts too!

The Blades spent more than three hours meeting children and their families, while handing out an assortment of club goodies.

Fans were delighted to welcome Billy Sharp, Ethan Ebanks-Landell, Leon Clarke, George Long and manager Chris Wilder.

The players and manager spent time talking to families, signing autographs and posing for photos with fans young and old.

Hospital Chief Executive John Somers said: “I think that’s the most gifts we’ve seen during a visit, with gifts for patients of every age. It’s also one of the longest visits we’ve ever escorted, so we appreciate the club’s generosity on both counts.”
