It’s Black History Month and there’s lots going on for our colleagues here at Sheffield Children’s!
Our Race Equality Network has made an enormous effort to support the Trust to make amazing strides in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) over the past couple of years. They provide an amplifying voice, with movement for sustainable change, to create an equitable and inclusive culture for all colleagues and patients.
So today we’re highlighting some of the incredible work they do.
Last month at our colleague awards ceremony – the Star Awards, the Royal College of Nursing came to present a special award to our EDI and Race Equality Network colleagues in recognition and celebration of our contribution in Black, Asian and minoritised ethnic nursing, health and social care over the past year.
The work for this award included:
Sarah Dodsworth, Regional Director of the RCN for Yorkshire and Humber attended the event to give out the award to colleagues from our Race Equality .
Congratulations to our amazing colleagues for such a brilliant achievement!
