Sheffield Children’s will be testing its Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) with a Major Incident Training Exercise taking place on Saturday 20 April . This multi-agency training allows us to test out our emergency procedures in a controlled environment.

The exercise will take place at Sheffield Children’s Hospital on Western Bank in the turning circle and outpatients department. It will involve a number of colleagues across the Trust and partner organisations covering a number of different roles.

Please remember:

  • The aim is to simulate a real-life incident so you may see and hear multiple emergency services around the site as well as some actors simulating injuries. Please don’t be alarmed and remember that this is a test.
  • Do not film or take photos of the exercise.
  • If there is a real incident in the Trust we will stop the exercise and manage this appropriately.
