Sensory vaccination sessions for children with additional needs

Courtyard from the window
23 February 2022

sensory room concord centreDo you have a child with additional needs who has not been able to access their teenage vaccinations?

Our school nursing team are holding a relaxed sensory session for children with additional needs and their families. This is a unique opportunity to familiarise yourself with some of our friendly team, and Play Specialists, in a non-clinical, relaxed environment where support can be tailored to your needs.

We will have the time available to provide information about vaccinations, listen to any concerns and introduce you to the environment and process. There will also be an opportunity to be vaccinated on the day, if your child is comfortable with this.

We will also be on hand to support you with any challenges around accessing all adolescent (including COVID) vaccinations on a one-to-one basis.

Call the 0-19 Sheffield Children’s Vaccinations and Immunisations Team on 0114 305 3230 or email scn-tr.sheffielddutysn.vacandimm@nhs.net to ask any questions or talk through your requirements.

You don’t have to book, just drop in to The Concord Sports Centre, Shiregreen Lane, S5 6AE on Saturday 5th March 9.30am to 3pm where we look forward to welcoming you.
