Our award-winning health inequalities work and our future plans for the helipad and Major Trauma Centre will be in the spotlight at Sheffield Children’s annual members meeting on Wednesday, 13 September.
The meeting, which is being held virtually, is also an opportunity to hear from Trust leaders about other work and achievements at Sheffield Children’s in 2022/23 and to look ahead to the future.
It will be an opportunity to hear directly from the Trust’s Chief Executive, Ruth Brown, and its external auditors, as well as to ask questions of any member of the Board before the annual report and accounts are received.
Anyone is welcome to join the meeting online, including patients, parents, staff and members of the wider community. The event will start at 4pm and last around 90 minutes.
People can register their place at the meeting by completing the form at www.sheffieldchildrens.nhs.uk/about-us/trust-membership where there is also information about becoming a member of the Trust. You will be sent a link to the event a day or two before with instructions on how to join.
Sarah Jones, Chair of the Board of Directors and Council of Governors, said: “The past year has seen many achievements and exciting developments at the Trust and this is an opportunity for our Board of Directors, Council of Governors, charity and members to come together to reflect on our performance.
“We look forward to welcoming people from Sheffield and beyond to hear about our achievements and discuss our plans for the future so please join us as we explore 2022/23 and look towards what comes next for our organisation.”
This will be Sarah’s final annual members’ meeting as she prepares to step down as Chair at the end of 2023 following 15 years at the Trust, including eight as a non-executive director.
Copies of the Annual Report and Accounts will be available from 7 September 2023 to those who register to attend the meeting. It will also be available via our website.
