08 September 2021

People will have an opportunity to learn more about Sheffield Children’s COVID response and our work moving forward to create a healthier future for children and young people at the Sheffield Children’s Annual Members’ Meeting this September.

The virtual event on the 29 September will start at 4pm. The meeting will feature presentations from colleagues from the Board as well as key members of teams across the Trust talking about the response to COVID including Infection Prevention Control (IPC), research, mental health, working with schools, and the 0-19 service.

During the meeting Trust leaders will also provide an update on the work and achievements of Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust during 2020/21 and look ahead to the future.

There will be an opportunity to hear from the Trust’s Acting Chief Executive as well as its external auditors, and an opportunity for people to ask questions of the Board.

People can register their place at the annual meeting by completing the form at www.sheffieldchildrens.nhs.uk/about-us/trust-membership where there is also information about becoming a member of the Trust.  You will be sent a link to the event shortly before with instructions on how to join.

Chair of the Trust, Sarah Jones, said: “We’re really excited about this year’s annual meeting, and can’t wait to talk to everyone about everything that’s been happening at Sheffield Children’s.

“We will miss seeing everyone in person, but this approach is safer and hopefully a lot more convenient for everyone!”

Anyone is welcome to the meeting including patients, parents, staff and members of the wider community.

Copies of the Annual Report and Accounts 2020/21 are available on the Sheffield Children’s website https://www.sheffieldchildrens.nhs.uk .
