Illingworth library

The Illingworth Library serves all Sheffield Children’s staff and health professionals in Sheffield. We help you find the information you need to support your work, practice and training.

Services

Book a librarian
A free 1:1 or group session with a library professional to give tailored support.

Using the library
Find out about joining, borrowing, reserving, renewing, photocopying and scanning.

Clinical and management library service
We source and provide evidence-based information for clinicians and managers.

Finding and requesting information
We can help you find books, journals, reports, guidelines and statistics and can assist with a variety of other enquiries.

Keeping up to date
Different ways to help you keep up to date with the latest evidence.

Literature searching
We conduct literature searches for clinical care, research and service development.

Wellbeing at work
We have a range of resources to help you relax and stay healthy, including our reading group, randomised coffee trials, leisure collections, colouring books and refreshments.

Facilities

  • Binding/laminating – we provide a self-service or assisted binding and laminating service.
  • Computers – we have both Trust and University of Sheffield networked computers for personal study, work and e-learning.  Library staff can provide guidance.
  • Stationery – a small range of items is available to purchase.
  • Study space – tables are available for individual and group study.
  • Easy chairs – to relax, read, eat lunch or take refreshments.
