Governor Elections 2017

This summer we are holding elections for a number of seats on our Council of Governors.

To take part in the elections, you must be a member of our Trust. Membership is free and signing up only takes a few minutes.

The deadline for nominations has now passed.

Vote for your Governor

During June we will be asking members to vote for the person they would like to represent them. The new Governors will be announced on 5 July 2017.

Available seats

We are electing Governors for the following seats:

Constituency Vacancies Eligibility
Patient & Carer - Sheffield Patient 1 Over 16 years old and a patient at the Trust within the last five years. Must live within Sheffield as defined by the map below. Must be under 19 at the time of Trust membership application.
Patient & Carer - Carer
1 If you have visited the Trust in the last five years as the carer of a patient (although not in a paid or voluntary role).
Public - Sheffield South East 1 A member of the public living within the Sheffield South East area as defined in the map below.
Public - Sheffield North East 1 A member of the public living within the Sheffield North East area as defined in the map below.
Public - Sheffield North West 1 A member of the public living within the Sheffield North West area as defined in the map below.
Public - Sheffield South West 1 A member of the public living within the Sheffield South West area as defined in the map below.
Public - Barnsley 1 A member of the public living within an area served by Barnsley Council as defined in the map below.
Public - Doncaster 1 A member of the public living within an area served by Doncaster Council as defined in the map below.
Public - Rest of England and Wales 1 A member of the public living in any area of England and Wales outside of the areas defined in the map below.
Staff - Medical & Dental 1 A member of staff at the Trust on a contract which has no fixed term, a fixed term of at least 12 months or has been continuously employed at the Trust for at least 12 months. Includes fully registered medical and dental practitioners.
Staff - Non-Clinical 2 A member of staff at the Trust on a contract which has no fixed term, a fixed term of at least 12 months or has been continuously employed at the Trust for at least 12 months. Includes administrative, managerial, estates and hotel services staff.
Staff - Nursing & Midwifery 1 A member of staff at the Trust on a contract which has no fixed term, a fixed term of at least 12 months or has been continuously employed at the Trust for at least 12 months. Includes registered nurses, health visitors and healthcare assistants.
Staff - Other Clinical 1 A member of staff at the Trust on a contract which has no fixed term, a fixed term of at least 12 months or has been continuously employed at the Trust for at least 12 months. Includes pharmacy, scientific, technical and therapy staff.
