Help make a difference to children's lives
Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust recruits a wide range of job roles which include non medical and medical posts.
The majority of our vacancies are advertised on NHS Jobs for a minimum of two weeks. However as some of our positions attract a large number of applicants, the trust reserves the right to close vacancies earlier than originally stated. It is therefore advisable to complete your application as soon as possible. If it is decided to close a vacancy earlier than originally advertised all applicants will receive an email notifying them of this decision and this will allow them 24 hours to complete and submit their application.
Applications from candidates who require Tier 2 immigration status to work in the UK may not be considered if there are a sufficient number of other suitable candidates. To apply for a Tier 2 certificate of sponsorship, employers need to demonstrate that they are unable to recruit a resident worker before recruiting an individual from overseas. For further information please visit the Home Office or UK Border Agency websites.
All non medical vacancies are covered by Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions of employment and these positions go through a job evaluation process in order to ensure that all jobs receive equal pay for work of equal value.
The medical human resources department at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust organises paediatric junior doctor national recruitment for the Yorkshire and Humber region. The trust is the lead employer for the South Yorkshire and the South Humber paediatric rotation.
The medical human resources department also arranges the recruitment and selection of medical staff from various speciliaties and levels within paediatrics at the trust, for example critical care, general medicine, surgery, and child and adolescent mental health services. We recruit to all levels within the trust including consultants and associate specialists.
Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust works in partnership with Jobcentre Plus and all non-medical vacancies are advertised through Jobcentre Plus. The trust has been awarded the 2 ticks disability symbol in recognition of its approach to equality and diversity in it's policies and procedures.
Liz's story
I started as a temporary member of staff in the Medical Records Department in August 2006. I loved the team I was working with and the varied nature of the job, compared to other office work I’d done.
