How you can get involved

The Children's Hospital Charity

At The Children’s Hospital Charity we are aware that redevelopment is happening all the time. Since 1976, we have been working hard to raise money to fund four key areas:

• specialist medical equipment

• research into the prevention and cure of childhood illness

• new facilities to extend the range of treatment provided

• improvements to the hospital environment that benefit patients, families, visitors and staff.

With our help, The Children’s Hospital is providing world-class care to children every day. We believe that the quality of the environment should match that care.

We would be looking to raise a considerable amount of money for the redevelopment to provide that which is over and above NHS provision. We want to enhance the new building and provide the vital specialist medical equipment needed to further support the amazing work that happens here every day.

We want to keep Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust at the forefront of paediatric care.

As we consider the exciting possibility of this major venture, we are working alongside the redevelopment team, discussing how we can best contribute to the redevelopment and speaking with potential architects to ensure that our principles are taken into account. We believe the hospital environment should be symbolic of the high-quality professional care we are renowned for.

To meet the demands of tomorrow we need to start today. We have to give patients, their parents and our staff a hospital filled with light and space, peace and dignity, where the quality of life matches the quality of care.

Together we can build a brighter future.
