Library catalogue

We have a library catalogue that can be accessed via the internet.  You can search for books and journals, check your library account and renew your books.

The catalogue also contains information on CD-ROMs, DVDs, and theses held by the library and provides links to the full text of NICE guidelines, electronic books and government publications.

Search by keyword, title, author, or journal name to see if a particular item is held in the library and find out where it is shelved.

We are happy to receive suggestions for new purchases.  You can use the online stock suggestion form or email the library.  We can't promise we will buy everything suggested, but we will consider all requests. 

If you have a University of Sheffield NHS library ticket you could also check the university's library catalogue, STAR, as you are entitled to borrow from their libraries.

The STAR catalogue also lists Illingworth Library items but does not give current availability of items.  You will need to check the Illingworth Library catalogue for this information.

Recent additions to stock

Books recently added to the Illingworth library are shown on the library catalogue.  Click here to see the latest books added to stock. If you would like to be informed monthly about new items that specifically match your subject interests, please contact the library.

Book sales

The library is constantly reviewing and replacing the stock.  Books withdrawn from stock are offered for sale and are available for browsing in the library.
