Hello My Name Is...

Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is proud to support the 'Hello My Name Is' campaign started by Dr Kate Granger.

The campaign aims to make a difference to patients and families by asking NHS staff to introduce themselves to every patient and family they meet.

We believe that introductions are a key part of delivering high quality care and can make all the difference to the experience of patients and families.

As part of NHS Change Day 2015 on Wednesday 11 March, we are asking staff throughout the Trust to pledge their support for the campaign online and share a photo of themselves with a 'Hello My Name Is' poster.

The campaign was started by Dr Granger, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer, after a hospital stay when she found that many staff did not introduce themselves before delivering care.

Since then 'Hello My Name Is' has been adopted by hospitals around the country and Dr Granger has spoken to thousands of staff about the importance of introductions.

For more information on the campaign visit the Hello My Name Is website.
