Volunteer contribution

Volunteers play an important role in the NHS, supporting professionals and users of our services.

The contribution of volunteers can vary from meeting and greeting people and staffing volunteer shops to undertaking tasks under supervision in clinical areas and, in the case of Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust, providing activities for patients as volunteer scout leaders.

Voluntary opportunities are considerable and varied and we always have systems in place to support volunteers and recognise their worth.
