Ward M1
Overview
M1 is a busy general 20 bedded medical ward. We care for children aged 0 to 4 years with a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. The ward consists of eight single rooms and twelve bed spaces in three bays.
Ward philosophy
Our aim is to involve the family in the nursing care and management of their child and try to ensure that we keep them fully informed at all times.

Nursing team
We are a friendly, enthusiastic team of qualified nurses, support workers, student nurses and play specialists that work closely with other health professionals to care for the children on M1 ward.
Parent Facilities
There are parents beds available by each child’s bed. Bathroom facilities are also available and a parent’s room is situated at the end of the ward to make a drink, eat a meal and use the fridge.
