Located in the heart of the city centre, Sheffield City Hall is a landmark and historic city centre entertainment venue. It has has played host to concerts from some of the biggest names in music and gigs from the country's top comedians.
The Crucible and Lycuem Theatres serve as venues for touring West End productions and operas by Opera North, as well as locally produced shows attracting well-known television stars. The venues are part of the Sheffield Theatres complex.
Sheffield is home to a number of cinemas, including Cineworld at Valley Centertainment and the Odeon in the city centre. Visitors to Sheffield also have access to the Showroon Cinema, which is one of the largest independent cinemas in Europe. It has a programme of films from around the world, showing a mix of contemporary and classic movies.
