The neurology nursing service based in Ryegate Children's Centre is made up of a team of specialist nurses who work closely with the consultant paediatric neurologists. The nursing team provides a wide range of support and advice to families of children with complex neurological disorders both within Sheffield Children’s Hospital, the community and district.

The following is a brief description of each service:
Manages the neurology nursing teams based at Ryegate Children’s Centre and provides advice and support to families with children with complex neurological disorders. She co-ordinates the ITB service and is the lead for transition for children with complex neurological disorders. She also has nurse led clinics for both ITB and transition. LINK to leaflets etc
A specialist team of nurses who currently offer respite care, end of life care and advice to over a 100 families. Prior to the team due to the complexities of their conditions these children would have had to be cared for in hospital. The service is available 24 hours a day when required. Manages specialist neurology and neurodisability clinics on a daily basis. As well as specialist clinics the nursing team also participates in multidisciplinary two day assessments. LINK to photos and leaflets
We have a team of three specialist epilepsy nurses who provide ongoing advice and support to children with epilepsy under the care of the paediatric neurologists. Children are seen in specialist nurse led clinics and in the hospital setting.
Offers respite care to children with complex neurological conditions. The unit is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
