Research centre facilities
Entrance Lobby
On arrival, all our guests can always expect a warm welcome and immediate attention. The reception area has a comfortable seating area and hot and cold drinks are available.
Ward area
The ward area is the heart of the Clinical Research Fcacility (CRF) and where most of the research activity takes place. Within this area are the bedrooms and consulting rooms, as well as the waiting/play area and the parents’ kitchen.
The ward area has all the essential amenities of a patient area – a treatment room, bathroom, toilet, utility rooms and linen storage.
There is also a nurse’s station on the ward with a high definition VDU screen.
Family rest room
The family rest room is offset from the main waiting area, allowing privacy for those who need it. The room offers free drinks making facilities with a selection of magazines.
Research sample preparation room
The Clinical Research Facility houses its own dedicated research laboratory, which can be used for sample preparation and storage. There are two -80 degree freezers in the lab, a domestic fridge freezer and a centrifuge machine for blood spinning.
