Pain management service
Sheffield Children's Hospital Pain Management Service
We provide a comprehensive pain management service for children with:
Acute pain For example after an operation, after an injury (e.g. broken bone), or pain associated with an illness (e.g. tummy pain)
Procedural pain e.g. blood tests, burns dressings, applying traction for broken bones
Chronic pain - children with longstanding pain that is interfering with their schooling and daily activities

Rebecca Reaney
Clinical nurse specialist
Rebecca has had a variety of posts at Sheffield Children's Hospital including; staff nurse posts on surgical wards and Daycare, being a research nurse, and after completing a course in pain management at university has specialised in managing pain in children and young people.
