Help make a difference to children's lives
The aim of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is to provide a comprehensive and high quality service to children and young people experiencing difficulties which are seriously impacting on their mental health and emotional well being.
Children and young people can be referred when they are encountering severe difficulties that require specialist mental health services not provided in primary care. This specialist service extends to families and carers.
Interventions range in intensity from consultation to other professionals through to inpatient treatment. There is a 24 hour, seven-days-a-week psychiatric on-call service.
The CAMHS service works in partnership with colleagues in other departments throughout the Trust and with other agencies and the voluntary sector.
The service comprises the following clinical teams:
Centenary House, covering the north and west of the city
Beighton Team, covering the south and east of the city
This is a regional Tertiary (Tier 4) intensive treatment, day and inpatient service which is home to;
Amber Lodge for 5 - 11 year olds
Emerald Lodge for 10 - 15 year old
Sapphire Lodge for 15 - 18 year old
Ruby Lodge for children with learning disabilities and mental health problems aged 8 - 18 years old
