Searching the NHS healthcare databases
To help you locate the information you need quickly and effectively, it is important that you plan your search and use the search tools provided by each database. See our healthcare databases page for more information or download instructions on searching.
Help with literature searching
Mediated literature searches to inform patient care, research and for service development can be carried out on your behalf by library staff. Contact the library to book an appointment or submit your request via the clinical question & answer service request form.
If you require literature searches to support your continuing education or professional development you are encouraged to attend training on finding the evidence. Visit our information skills training page for more information.
If the articles identified during your literature search are not available online or in print you can use our document supply service to obtain copies. (There is a charge for this service).
