Help make a difference to children's lives

Do you need to find evidence to help you provide more effective patient care? Need to find quality patient information resources, or critically appraise research literature? These pages provide details of our information skills training programme, along with independent learning resources.
Click on a topic below to see course outlines, guides and e-learning resources.
Please contact us to book training for groups or individual sessions. Training ranges from basic to advanced and can take place in the library or in your workplace and can be tailored to suit your needs. We try to provide training on demand (often there and then if time permits) but booking in advance is preferable.
The Library hosts free basic skills courses to support all eligible members of staff (UK citizens and persons with over three years' residency) in developing their English or Maths skills and an NVQ Computer Skills Course, Levels 1-3. These courses have an individualised approach that allows you to work at your own pace with the support of experienced and enthusiastic tutors from Sheffield and Doncaster Colleges.
If you need help or advice on any aspect of using information resources, please contact us. We also offer clinical library services for more specialized requirements.
