Healthcare guidelines are best found from the following sources:
Guidelines are available via the Policies and guidelines page on the Trust Intranet. You will only be able to access the Intranet on a computer attached to the SCH network. Ask Library Staff if you need assistance.
Nice provide guidelines on how a particular condition should be treated. It divides its guidance into 3 main areas:
Guideline producers accredited by NICE can have their guidelines searcheable thought the NHS Evidence search box. These include SIGN, RCPCH, British Thoracic Society. A more extensive list is available here.
Use the ‘Guidelines’ limits on the TRIP database to filter the results. You can filter for guidelines from Europe, North America or elsewhere.

Access from 0830-1700 is via the entrance situated on Damer Street (close to the junction with Western Bank and opposite the side of Starbucks). Access from 1700 -1900 is via the Accident and Emergency entrance on Western Bank. Ask at the reception for directions or download here.
