Guidelines and the Cochrane Library
Course content:
This course focuses on how and where to find local, national and international guidelines and where to seek high quality evidence based reviews on a topic if no guideline exists.
Duration:
2 hours
Who should attend:
Clinical staff who need to review or update clinical guidelines.
Pre-requisites:
Basic IT skills and familiarity with Internet browsing.

Learning outcomes:
By the end of the course you will be able to:-
Locate local, national and international guidelines
Understand and use the databases in the Cochrane Library collection
Search by subject heading and keyword
Combine search terms
Print and save

Access
Access from 0830-1700 is via the entrance situated on Damer Street (close to the junction with Western Bank and opposite the side of Starbucks). Access from 1700 -1900 is via the Accident and Emergency entrance on Western Bank. Ask at the reception for directions or download here.
