Help make a difference to children's lives
If you cannot find the item you need, you can use the document supply service to request books, articles, theses or reports.
Before you use this service, please check to see whether the article is available from the library or electronically. Please visit the journals page for information on how to do this.
To request an article, please email the details to the library or use the online request form. There is a charge for this service, please visit the library charges page before making a request.
Where the item is only available from the British Library or The University of Sheffield’s myDocuments Service, we will inform you and ask you to fill in, print and sign either a British Library Request form or a myDocument request form. These forms should be returned to the library with payment so the request can be processed.
You can request items that are on loan or on the shelf by contacting the library or via the catalogue. There is no charge for this service.
To request items using the catalogue with your library ticket and PIN, click the request button at the top of the details page to request items from the shelf.
Requested items are held for seven days awaiting collection.
Where the item is only available from the British Library, we will inform you and ask you to fill in, print and sign a British Library book or thesis request form. This should be returned to the Illingworth Library with payment.
We are happy to receive suggestions for new purchases. You can use the online stock suggestion form or pick up a copy of our leaflet from the library. We can't promise we will buy everything suggested, but we will consider all requests.

Access from 0830-1700 is via the entrance situated on Damer Street (close to the junction with Western Bank and opposite the side of Starbucks). Access from 1700 -1900 is via the Accident and Emergency entrance on Western Bank. Ask at the reception for directions or download here.
