Clinical library services
Our clinical library service will help you to deliver high standards of patient care based on the latest available evidence. Download a leaflet here.
Ward based support
The library currently supports the clinical information needs of the Paediatric Critical Care Unit and the Paediatric Surgical Unit. Librarians attend ward rounds, clinical governance and audit meetings. Support is given to staff writing care pathways and guidelines and in finding evidence to inform clinical practice.
Literature searching
Library staff offer a clinical question and answering service and carry out mediated literature searches to inform patient care, research and service development. See our literature search page for more information.
Document supply
The document supply service will obtain books, articles, theses and reports that you need to support patient care but have been unable to access yourself.
Information skills training
The library runs group and individual training sessions to teach you how to search the literature to support your continuing education or professional development. Visit our information skills training page for more information.
