Board of Directors
Who is on the board of directors?
The Board of Directors is made up of the Chief Executive and five other Executive Directors and the Chairman and five other Non-executive Directors.
The Executive Directors have, at a senior level, both commercial and NHS experience in a range of subjects including finance, human resources, operations, management, medicine, nursing, strategic and operational planning, research, and governance.
Their expertise is complemented by the skills of the Non-executive Directors in fields such as finance and strategic accounting, human resources, planning and sales and marketing, and legal frameworks.
We are regulated by Monitor.

Mr Simon Morritt
Chief Executive
Simon became Chief Executive in June 2011. He was previously Chief Executive at NHS Bradford and Airedale for four years.
How are directors held to account?
As a Foundation Trust our membership, our council of governors and our regulators have key powers to hold the board to account. Local people, patients and staff can all become members. Why not consider signing up yourself?
When does the Board meet?
The Board meets monthly in private at Sheffield Children's Hospital.
