Our specialist services receive referrals from the UK and internationally.
Each of our patients matters to us.
Help make a difference to children's lives
We provide dedicated healthcare for children and young people, including community and mental health care as well as acute and specialist services. The Trust has already moved towards a broader, more comprehensive approach to supporting children and families. Our aim is to be at the forefront of best practice in delivering high quality and integrated care to children and young people.
As a Foundation Trust we have a Council of Governors and a Board of Directors. The governors are elected by the members or appointed by our partner organisations. The non-executive members of the Board of Directors including the chairman are appointed by the Council of Governors and bring expertise from businesses outside the National Health Service. The executive members of the Board of Directors are experienced managers in their field and are appointed by the chief executive working with the non-executive directors.
The Council of Governors is responsible for understanding the needs of the local community and the trust's wider patient population and helping the Trust to meet those needs. They represent our members.
Each NHS Foundation Trust has its own Constitution. This is a document
that sets out the purpose and powers, and governance arrangements of each NHS
Foundation Trust.
